About the function
You play a key role in the logistics process at Hoogvliet. As an orderpicker, you’ll collect orders using a voice-picking system and an electric pallet truck (EPT) from various warehouse departments. You’ll work with chilled, frozen, and ambient products. In the modern distribution center, speed, accuracy, and teamwork are essential. Your work is physically active and similar to other logistics jobs in large supermarket distribution centers.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Collect orders using a voice-picking system
- Move products with an electric pallet truck (EPT)
- Check orders for completeness and quality
- Work with chilled, frozen, and ambient products
- Keep your workplace tidy and safe
- Work together with colleagues to keep everything running smoothly
- Help with loading and preparing goods for transport
You’ll work in two shifts: Day shift: 06:00 – 14:00 Night shift: 20:00 – 04:00
We are looking for candidates who are willing to work both shifts and are physically fit.

- You have the nationality of an EU country or a valid Dutch residence permit
- You can communicate in English
- You’re available for both day and night shifts
- You are physically fit and enjoy being active
- You are willing to perform both light and heavier tasks
- You are reliable, responsible, and punctual
- You work well in a team
- You’re looking for long-term, stable work
What we offer
- Gross starting wage: € 16.20 per hour, including € 1.21 ADV allowance
- Evening shift bonus (20:00 – 22:00): 25% extra, € 17.99 per hour
- Night shift bonus (22:00 – 06:00): 50% extra, € 22.49 per hour
- Overtime bonus (over 40 hours): 35% extra, € 20.24 per hour
- Saturday bonus: 30% extra, € 19.49 per hour
- Sunday bonus: 50% extra, € 22.49 per hour
- Public holiday bonus: 100% extra, € 29.98 per hour
- 8.33% holiday pay and 25 paid vacation days per year
