About the function
As a Production Worker at Van Gelder Groente & Fruit, you process fresh vegetables and fruit every day. You work in a modern production setting where hygiene and quality come first. The workplace atmosphere is down-to-earth, collegial, and focused on teamwork. Your tasks are varied and you make sure everything runs smoothly from cutting to packaging the products.
- Processing raw vegetables and fruit, such as peeling and removing seeds
- Cutting vegetables and fruit by hand and/or machine
- Carefully packing and repacking products
- Completing (meal) salads and other dishes on the conveyor belt
- Manually filling containers according to instructions and rules
- Checking correct weight and proper labels/dates on products
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools
You work from Monday to Saturday, with two days off per week and two Saturdays per month. The working hours are between 06:00 and 17:00, depending on your start time. You work day shifts and full time.
What we need
- You have at least vocational (mbo) working and thinking level and an interest in production, logistics, or food
- Experience as a Production Worker, Fresh Produce Worker, Packer, or Operator is preferred, but starters are also welcome
- You are precise and can follow hygiene rules well
- You speak Dutch or English so you can understand instructions
- You live within 30 kilometers of Ridderkerk and have your own transport or can reach the location easily
- You can handle physical work and do not mind starting early
- You are flexible and willing to work two Saturdays per month
