About the function
As a Production Operator at Snack Connection in Giessen, you’ll play a hands-on role in our bustling food production facility. You’ll be responsible for operating and monitoring automated packaging machines, making sure our nut-based snacks meet the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day tasks include checking products for quality, performing basic maintenance on machines, and promptly addressing any issues to keep the production line moving smoothly. You’ll also keep accurate records of your activities and work closely with your team to reach daily targets.
- Operate and monitor packaging machines efficiently
- Perform regular quality checks and document results
- Carry out routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot minor faults
- Ensure the safe and clean operation of your workstation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production goals
- Report issues or deviations to supervisors promptly
- Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols required in food production
You’ll work full-time in a 3-shift rotation, Monday to Friday:
- Morning: 6:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
- Afternoon: 2:00 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.
- Night: 10:00 p.m. – 6:45 a.m. Occasional weekend shifts may be required with extra compensation.
What we need
- At least 1 year of experience in production, preferably in the food industry or as an operator
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot packaging machines
- Good spoken English; Dutch is a plus
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift system, including occasional weekends
- Accurate, efficient, and proactive approach to tasks
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene procedures strictly
- Reliable, with your own transport or ability to commute to Giessen

What we offer
- Starting salary from €18,50 per hour
- Shift allowance: +14% for 2 shifts, +19% for 3 shifts
- Extra allowance: +30% for Saturdays, +100% for public holidays
- 8% holiday allowance
