About the function
As a Junior Production Operator / 3 shifts at Snack Connection in Giessen, you’ll be hands-on in our modern food production facility. Your main responsibility will be operating and monitoring packaging machines to ensure our nut-based snacks meet top quality standards. Each day, you’ll help maintain a smooth-running production line, carry out quality checks, and perform basic equipment maintenance. If you spot an issue, you’ll jump in to troubleshoot and keep things moving. You’ll work closely with a supportive team who values accuracy and efficiency. Expect to:
- Operate and monitor packaging machines efficiently
- Carry out regular quality checks on products
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of your work station
- Keep accurate records of production output
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures at all times
Your workweek runs from Monday to Friday in a 3-shift system: morning (6:00 – 14:45), afternoon (14:00 – 22:45), and night (22:00 – 6:45). Occasionally, you may be asked to work weekends, with extra pay for those shifts.
What we need
- Vmbo working and thinking level
- 0 to 1 year of experience in production, food industry, or as an operator
- English speaking skills; Dutch speaking skills are an advantage
- Able to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging machines
- Reliable and accurate in following hygiene and safety procedures
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift system and occasional weekend shifts
- Maximum commute distance of 20 km
