Going abroad for work often comes with expectations. Are there only seasonal jobs? Do I need to speak Dutch? What about housing and insurance? We understand that these questions arise when thinking about going abroad. And since our motto is good work, we want to prepare you for your big trip to the Netherlands!

1. There’s more than seasonal work
The Netherlands distinguishes itself from other European countries because growing flowers or harvesting fruit and vegetables is extremely popular here. You can earn a lot from such activities. However, working in the Netherlands is not just seasonal work. Even during Christmas you can work in the Netherlands. Greenhouses, production facilities, warehouses, factories and distribution centers are in operation all year round.

Temporary workers not only work in horticulture, but also in production, logistics and transport. The profession of order picker, which consists of collecting orders using a manual scanner and completing the ordered products, is very popular in the Netherlands!

2. Knowledge of the Dutch language: do you need it?
In the Netherlands there are lots of job opportunities where communicating in basic English is everything you need! Knowledge of the Dutch language is not required at all. In addition, most agencies also have special platforms to communicate with employees. Also, there are a lot of jobs where people are hired without experience, education or language skills.

3. What about housing when I work in the Netherlands?
While you are working, you get the chance to rent accommodation also. This has many advantages. For example the rent is cheaper and the location of the apartment is close to the workplace. Our recruiters will arrange this for you!

4. What about insurance in the Netherlands?
Our motto is good work and that includes taking care of our people. We offer low-cost insurance packages for example the dentist, physiotherapy, guarantee fund, accidents and household. Your contact person will arrange this together with you and will also help you getting allowance from the Dutch government. The service that you can expect is to really sit beside you while translating letters and filling in forms. This makes it easier for you to arrange what is needed.
