Applying for a job can be nerve-racking, so it’s completely normal for your nerves to build up during a job interview. However, with the right preparation you can make sure your nerves don’t affect your performance. That’s why we’re sharing three tips to help you prepare for a successful job interview!
Tip 1: Google the company
It’s smart to check out the company’s website and social media channels. That way, if the employer asks you questions about the organization, you’ll be able to answer them easily. You’ll also get a good sense of the company’s ambitions, which helps you determine whether the organization is a good fit for you.
Tip 2: Prepare questions
It’s called a job interview for a reason. Do you have questions? Ask them! By asking questions, you show that you’re genuinely interested in the position. It also helps you learn what the organization has to offer you.
Tip 3: Be honest
Have you found an interesting vacancy online, but you don’t (yet) have a VCA certificate, for example? Say so. Who knows, the employer might help you obtain your VCA certificate!
