About the function
At Van Gelder in Ridderkerk, we work together to ensure everyone can enjoy the best fresh products. As a production employee, you play an essential role: thanks to your efforts, ready-to-eat salads, meals, and pre-cut vegetables are prepared daily for our customers.
What you will do:
- Cutting and preparing vegetables and fruit
- Assembling and packing salads and meals
- Carefully weighing, labeling, and sealing products
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
What you can expect:
- Working from Monday to Saturday with 1 or 2 days off
- Start time usually at 6:00 AM, finishing around 5:00 PM
- Sometimes a later start is possible, depending on the schedule
What we need
- Basic knowledge of English or Dutch
- No problem working in a cool environment (5°C) Experience in production (preferably in the food sector)
Positive attitude, accurate, and a true team player

What we offer
- €14.40 gross per hour + 135% overtime pay after 38 hours
- Possibly a nice electric bike!
- Travel allowance of €0.23/km from 10 km
- Car provided through Carrière if you have a driver’s license, or an e-bike for longer distances
- 8.3% holiday allowance
