Karol’s journey, as Sickness Absence Case Manager at Carrière, shows what mutual respect and commitment mean within our organization. The Step to the Netherlands
Karol completed a creative education in Poland and started his own business there as an actor, sculptor, and painter. His work gave him satisfaction, but he quickly noticed that it was financially difficult to make a living from it. “I wanted to continue my work, but I was looking for more stability. In the Netherlands, I saw more opportunities for my business while also being able to find a flexible part-time job.”
Once in the Netherlands, Karol joined Baronie, a chocolate factory, through Carrière, where he started working as a production employee. From the very beginning, the collaboration with Carrière felt right. “From the placement to the salary payments: everything was well organized. Questions were answered quickly, and communication was always clear. I felt taken seriously.”
Alongside his job, Karol continued investing in his future. He started a Master’s degree in Business Administration, further expanding his business knowledge. The flexibility of his part-time job gave him the space to combine his studies with work and his art projects.
From Temporary Worker to Case Manager
Thanks to his dedication, reliability, and eagerness to learn, Karol quickly stood out within the organization. Not long after, he was given the opportunity to grow internally. He now works as a Case Manager at Carrière.
“It felt like a natural step. I understand the perspective of a temporary worker, I know what matters in communication, and I can now personally support others throughout their journey.”
Karol is still active as an artist, while also holding a valuable role within Carrière. His story shows that work and personal development can go hand in hand.
